Sunsafe Rx is made with ingredients that are safe and non-toxic. Under rare circumstances, some people may notice the skin taking on a slightly orange or yellow hue after extended consumption of some of the ingredients in Sunsafe Rx if dramatically exceeding a normal dosage for a prolonged period of time. Please note this is not a toxicity and is not a health concern, but is due to the accumulation of carotenes (for example: lycopene and beta-carotene) in the skin. Called lycopenodermia or carotenodermia, this can occur when people eat large quantities of tomato products or substantial amounts of carrots, for example. While this is, in fact, only beneficial to skin protection, it may be undesirable. If this occurs, simply take a lower dose or stop taking Sunsafe Rx for a few days and the color will disappear on its own. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun is harmful. Care should be taken to protect your skin from sun exposure.
